On the Effects of Game System Patents on Games Industry Collaborative Practice
About the Project:
The aim of this project was to take a look at the effects of patents for game systems (mechanics, etc.) on how the industry works together and builds off its collective knowledge.

This research resulted in the creation of a non-advisory, informational guide for indie developers about the basics of patent law in game development and its effects.
